What is humor?

HUMOR seems to be a response to a conflict between negative and positive affects, such as fear and enjoyment, which results in spasmodic contractions of parts of the body, mainly in the stomach and diaphragm area, as well as contractions in the upper cheek muscles. Further affects which seem to be missing include relief and confusion.

Only when a human being experiences extended periods of joyfulness and blissfulness, will he stretch himself to the limits and do what he can to the fullest. When he’s in competition, he’s in fear of failure, he will only do a little better than somebody else. So, the human genius is completely missing today.
